Has your child ever been so dead asleep on your shoulder? I mean, dead to the world asleep?! Mouth fallen' open, breathing deeply, arms limp... you know. Then you put them down ever so slowly in the bed thinking, "man, he's gonna sleep really good, for forever, sweet" only to see your child shoot his eyes open the minute he hits the mattress. Like a mattress alarm went off. Wide awake, and then smile at you like he's saying, "Ha, got ya, ...sucker!" Do you know that feeling? Then you think, "now what?". And you pick them up and plant a big kiss on them, eventhough you are a bit disappointed it didn't work out like you had thought, cause they are so stinkin' cute!

Um yes. After awhile you'll be confident to flash a smile back and then leave their room so they can return to that peaceful sleep. It takes awhile, but you'll get there. :)

Eli keeps pointing to Drew's pic on our refrigerater and saying Drew. For the longest I thought he was saying Jew, and I was very very confused.

Has happened so often...big bummer and so crafty of those little ones who you think don't really know anything of the world...but man can they manipulate you!

Yes...that memory is still so clear in my head! Such a bummer when it happens but so hard to get mad when their sweet little face is grinning at you!

I compare it to the car seat coma. It's almost like the moment the car turns off they have an alarm that goes off.

Still happens sometimes too...it is so crazy how big Drew looks already. They change and grow so quickly don't they?! Congrats on the new house, it looks perfect!
